Location
Purpose
- This key position at HMA is responsible for all Sales related activities and personnel within the Region.
Major Responsibilities
- Achieve yearly/monthly retail and wholesale objectives.
- Effectively utilize the Regional support funds (MSP) and co-op advertising funds to achieve regional sales objectives.
- Direct all regional sales activities involving the Distribution, Market Rep, and Merchandising departments, as well as all sales support staff.
- Achieve all other regional sales objectives as assigned by either the Regional General Manager or National Sales Management. These include, but are not limited to, Aged Inventory levels, Port Installed Accessory objectives, District Sales Manager individual objectives, Regional Sales and Customer satisfaction objectives, assigned Market Representation objectives, etc.
- Train, supervise, motivate and mentor the Sales Staff Managers, District Sales Managers and sales staff to maximize each individual’s contribution to the Hyundai organization and to prepare these individuals for professional growth within HMA.
- Communicate and administer all corporate and regional programs to both dealer body and regional personnel. It’s key in this position that the regional sales manager motivates both the dealers and regional personnel to achieve the desired objectives and results.

- Regional Sales Manager will keep the Regional General Manager informed and advised of all sales related issues within the region. This includes, but is not limited to, the performance of the regional sales staff and District Sales Managers, dealer issues, personnel issues, etc.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with Hyundai Capital America.
- Maintain department spending within assigned budget. Spending will be monitored on a monthly basis.
- Develop and monitor the Regional Dealer Advertising Associations.
Authority
- Department leadership, employee supervision, program development, problem identification, and finding solutions are all expected in this position.
- Responsible for the hiring of all regional sales personnel.
- Responsible for managing the regional sales budget and approving Purchase Requests and Check Requests for Sales Department
Education
Related Experience
- At least ten years of experience of which at least eight years of directly related experience in a manufacturer Sales Department with demonstrated abilities in direct dealer contacts.
- At least three to five years of supervisory experience desired.
