Purpose

~ This position is responsible for all billing from warranty group to factory.

~ Lead the business unit responsible for developing & maintaining world class warranty process implemented through HMA’s Warranty System.  Work with IT group to ensure warranty systems maximize uptime to support dealers, is closely integrated with diagnostic tools and transmits factory data for quality analysis and billing. 

Major Responsibilities

~ Ensure HMA and other Hyundai entities align in strategic goals through billing practice and system integration.

~ Champion strategic collaboration between all groups and support all efficiency initiatives within the Warranty Systems.

~ Maintain strategic partnership with all factories to improve billing process to improve accuracy and accountability at all levels of the repair process. 

~ Improve billing process and automate as much of the process as possible to increase accuracy and decrease manual workload at all levels (Dealer, Distributor, Factory).

~ Strategic Warranty System development direction to support best-in-class warranty process that improves dealer personnel efficiency, reduces workload through the value chain, and improves quality of data to factory for quality enhancement and billing purposes.

~ Close collaboration with factories (HMC, HMMA, KMMG & others) to ensure HMA system can support factory for their coding, categorization, and teardown analysis.

~Maintain strategic relationship with Factories, HAEA (local IT team), HMC Warranty System team & HMC Strategic IT team regarding system requirement and functionality.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

~ Oversee strategic decision of the Warranty Systems (AS400 and WEBDCS), including ensuring new functionality support other groups (PA, WTC, Dealer, Factory & Others) for both Hyundai and Genesis

~ Work with Sr Group Manager, Warranty Admin to establish Systems & billing priorities.

~ Support managing systems & billing team and develop emerging employee talent.

~ Night and weekend work expected for periodic system launches/upgrades.  Some travel.

Authority

~ Approve Project Management documents including Business Requirements, Statement of Works, Functional and Detailed Designs.

~ Approve IT related Service Requests, fixes and enhancements, ESM, and Login Requests.

~ Determine Billing and system direction for factory and major warranty system changes.

~ Determine cost responsibility Quality cost (Warranty, Campaign, Goodwill), Factory/HMA.

~ Determine strategic direction on Warranty System.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

~ 8 years of experience with at least three years of experience in Warranty and/or Systems.

~ Experience in project and program management, preferably as a liaison between business units, system integration points, and IT functions.

~ 3 years supervisory experience desired.

Skills/Knowledge

~ Strong attention to detail and timelines.

~ Ability to work independently or under only general direction.

~ Excellent facilitation skills

~ Demonstrated ability to interpret business processes and communicate these effectively to IT project managers.

~ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

~ Strong organizational skills – must be able to track multiple projects and tasks, at a detailed level.

~ Demonstrated ability to develop training to increase the effectiveness of the transition from existing to newly developed systems.

~ Microsoft Project experience preferred.

~ Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot system concerns and design efficient process flows.

~ Able to develop systems from a vision or concept.

~ Able to effectively oversee system design that encompasses various departments' and partners' needs.

~ Knowledge of consumer and/or dealer facing systems and processes.

Certification Required

~PMP Certification a plus.

$103,700.00 - $140,300.00 Annual
