Purpose

The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner (Sr. Mgr., HRBP) plays a critical role in fostering alignment between business objectives and employees within designated business units. Acting as a consultant to executive management, this position drives strategic change and organizational development initiatives by assessing and anticipating HR-related needs. Proactively collaborating with both HR departments and business management, the Sr. Mgr., HRBP develops data-driven recommendations and integrated solutions to address these needs effectively.

Major Responsibilities

  • Advise executive management on business and functional plans, serving as a trusted partner.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Design and implement innovative HR approaches to enhance business objectives and productivity.
  • Serve as a credible senior HR leader, providing necessary support and leadership for desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and HR teams to implement HR programs and strategies effectively.
  • Offer guidance on performance management, including coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Identify and address employee relations issues, focusing on scalable processes and practices.
  • Provide input on business function restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.

  • Proactively analyze business performance and recommend data-driven actions to support strategic objectives using a consultative approach.
  • Contribute to organizational design efforts to align structure with strategic goals and improve overall effectiveness.
  • Utilize data to identify trends and propose scalable solutions for improving people processes.
  • Thrive in rapid and complex work environments, demonstrating adaptability.
  • Operate autonomously to monitor employee experience and engagement effectively.
  • Manage separation processes, including exit interviews and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Lead a team of HR professionals at various levels.

Authority

  • Exercise independent judgement with employee relations-related decisions.
  • Provide recommendations to executive management regarding employees, business restructures, and necessary trainings.
  • Manage and sign off on approved budget amounts.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Eight or more years of direct HR experience.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Automotive OEM industry experience is preferred.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Experience in Employee Relations with specific experience in grievance and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to quickly build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner within a diverse organization to help drive business results
  • Ability to motivate, influence and optimize working relationship senior leadership and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity – dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place.

Certification

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRBP certification desired.

Compensation

$107,800.00 - $154,000.00 Annual
