Purpose

  • Meets targeted incremental sales goals for Hyundai & Genesis through review and support of dealership changes in accord with the Dealer Network Strategy. Supports Strategy group relevant Field teams for Hyundai & Genesis and aids the National Network General Managers in facilitating and development of those agreements intended to driven network changes aligned with established market strategy prioritization.

Major Responsibilities

  • Primary role will be working cross-functionally with key stakeholders on developing strategies for underperforming markets and dealers within the U.S. marketplace. 
  • Supports the development and delivery of reports and recommendations to the DND executive committee regarding markets and dealers not meeting HMA/GMA Sales, Service, Parts, Branding and Financial requirements.  Develops KPI’s to measure performance of competing dealerships in all markets. Analyzes market registration information and incorporates expansion and replacement in underperforming markets.
  • Working with the seven regional offices and their DND teams to gather necessary regional/local information on activities in all markets and develop/maintain dealer Rainmaker database
  • Developing financial intervention initiatives that demonstrate ROI for direct market actions that are targeted at sales loss areas. Maintains and tracks success of FI actions in a market.
  • Will be responsible for developing and successfully managing annual DND financial intervention cost center budget.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing DND financial intervention policies and guidelines.
  • Coordinating with HMA/GMA Legal, Finance, Accounting and DND executive committee regarding financial intervention agreements and market actions.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

  • The role requires proficiency in sales reports and financial statements to monitor financial strength and compliance with company standards.
  • Responsible for supporting all activities associated with the ongoing DND Steering Committee meetings, compiling all presentation materials, ensuring that the regions provide all of the necessary supporting information and photographs, and maintaining complete records and tracking of all Steering Committee decisions and recommendations.
  • Utilize local market knowledge to consult with the USAI market studies team and the DND Steering Committee on market study recommendations including Retail Sales Area (RSA) definitions.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as they become available to the DND department, including but not limited to Executive Market Drive Decks.
  • Act in support of the Dealer Development liaison to HMA/GMA team and provide support, data and information as required.
  • Scheduling, tracking, and supporting three to five field National Network General Managers.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Eight or more years of experience required
  • Five or more years of OEM experience is required.
  • Five or more years in positions relating to market analysis and dealer representation planning and placement is preferred.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledge of business operations and the ability to recognize the dealership locations and management that will maximize the potential sales markets for Hyundai and Genesis.
  • Ability to develop productive and effective dealership relationships by nurturing trust and understanding of financial dealer operations.
  • Abiility to access the abilities of potential and current dealers to deliver promised sales success.
  • Ability to effectively evaluate and present proposed business commitment to top executives and committees.

$107,800.00 - $154,000.00 Annual
