Purpose

  • Ensure organizational alignment throughout the North American Region (HMNA) through the administration of efficient and effective corporate governance processes. This position will support both Hyundai and Genesis brands within the US, Canada and Mexico as well as our manufacturing sites in Georgia (HMMA/HMGMA) and Hyundai Translead.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage HMNA governance calendar, scheduling, and the consolidation of governance meeting materials.
  • Collaborate with HMNA business units to ensure alignment with organizational initiatives and priorities.
  • Use advanced knowledge and collaboration with Corporate Planning to manage and monitor key strategic initiatives in the North American Region.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of corporate governance activities, materials and approvals.
  • Identify opportunities and implement processes to continuously enhance the rigor and efficiency of the North American Region governance.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment in governance processes across all brands/regions.
  • Exercise discretion to support the HMNA CEO Office in all activities related to governance.
  • Collaborate with the Global CEO Office to ensure proper alignment and communication of governance activities.
  • Develop, review and update governance-related policies and ensure organization-wide adherence
  • Educate teams on governance principals and ensure policies are effectively communicated
  • Track the effectiveness of governance frameworks and implement improvements where needed.

  • Provide recommendations to management (direct and executive).
  • Responsible for decision making related to corporate governance.
  • Responsibilities of authority include the day-to-day operation of business, development of key relationships between and among employees and customers.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Eight or more years of direct experience in corporate planning required.
  • Prior experience working directly with the executive team and managing projects with tight deadlines required.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Automotive OEM experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Good organizational and team leadership skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Automobile industry knowledge and history expert.

$107,800.00 - $154,000.00 Annual
