Purpose

The role involves being the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned vehicles, focusing on advanced knowledge of sales performance, inventory levels, product competitiveness, and market trends. The manager will handle data management, visualization, and analysis for product performance.

 

The key mission is to achieve revenue and share objectives and provide strategic direction for sales and profitability. The role also supports senior managers in product portfolio management and new product launches for the SUV line-up.

Major Responsibilities

  • Proactively analyze vehicle performance and develop actionable recommendations.

  • Provide strategic input to meet Sales and Marketing channel needs.

  • Lead vehicle positioning strategies and Key Selling Points (KSPs) for new and updated vehicles.

  • Ensure product concept and positioning are consistently communicated across all channels.

  • Partner to incorporate vehicle positioning and market performance into media events.

  • Optimize competitiveness and support incentives planning.

  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue.

  • Analyze and validate financial impact of recommendations.

  • Provide monthly trim mix direction to optimize pipeline.

  • Work with field leadership to manage and optimize media messaging, incentives, and go-to-market plans.

  • Ensure compliance with Federal/State regulations and understand IRA requirements.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

  • Partner with Sales Analysis & Forecasting to set annual and monthly business objectives for each vehicle.
  • Provide strategic direction for developing the Mid-term Plan.
  • Identify key product, marketing, and sales programs to achieve objectives.
  • Lead regular Launch Committee Meetings for assigned vehicles.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and organizational readiness for new product launches.
  • May manage, coach, and develop direct reports as needed.

Authority

  • Develop financially vetted business cases for product performance improvement recommendations.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and projects.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree required.
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Eight or more years of professional experience at a manufacturer/distributor of consumer products with direct product responsibilities (planning, pricing, marketing, incentives, distribution, and/or sales).
  • Automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Extensive data analysis experience and data visualization expertise required.
  • Prior management of direct reports preferred.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to simplify complex issues, develop a compelling point of view, and persuasively make case for change leading to action.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong automotive industry and technology knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with PIN, Maritz, GfK, IHS/Polk, Strategic Vision, Ace Metrix, Tableau, etc. studies/tools a plus.

$107,800.00 - $154,000.00 Annual
