Purpose

This role requires being a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned vehicles, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of various aspects such as sales performance, inventory levels, pricing, marketing effectiveness, competitor activity, and segment dynamics. The main goal is to achieve revenue share objectives and provide strategic direction for go-to-market strategies, focusing on optimizing sales profitability for the assigned vehicles. Additionally the role involves product portfolio management and coordinating new product launches within sales and marketing.

Major Responsibilities

 

  • Proactively analyze the performance of the assigned vehicle(s) relative to objectives, develop actionable recommendations to optimize performance across the levers listed below, and present them to executive management at regular governance meetings.
    • Product Planning: Provide strategic input to ensure assigned vehicle(s) meet Sales and Marketing channel marketplace needs.
    • Strategy: Lead development of vehicle positioning strategies and Key Selling Points (KSPs) for all-new, major change, and face-lift vehicles.
    • Marketing: Collaborate to ensure product concept, positioning, and KSPs are communicated and with consistency throughout all company-owned and 3rd party websites/channels.
    • Incentives: Collaborate to optimize competitiveness and support incentives planning meetings.
    • Pricing: Collaborate to identify opportunities to increase revenue.
    • Finance: Analyze and validate financial impact of recommendations.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

    • Production: Partner with Distribution to ensure optimized trim mix and balanced pipeline.
    • Sales Operations: Operate closely with field leadership to collaborate, manage, and optimize media messaging, and incentives and provide strategic/tactical inputs to drive the monthly go-to-market plan. 
  • Business Unit Management: Collaborate in setting business objectives for each vehicle. Identify key product, marketing, and sales programs required to achieve objectives.
  • For assigned vehicle(s), lead regular Launch Committee Meetings to ensure cross-functional alignment and organizational readiness for new product launches.
  • Manage/coach/develop direct report.

Authority

  • Develop business case for product performance improvement recommendations.
  • Manage cross-functional teams and projects.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree required.
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Eight or more years of professional experience at a manufacturer/distributor of consumer products with direct product responsibilities.
  • Automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Extensive data analysis experience and data visualization expertise are required.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to simplify complex issues, develop a compelling point of view, and persuasively make case for change leading to action.
  • Strong automotive industry and technology knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with PIN, Maritz, GfK, IHS/Polk, Strategic Vision, Ace Metrix, Tableau, etc. studies/tools a plus.

$107,800.00 - $154,000.00 Annual
