Purpose
~ This position works closely with the Warranty Operations Sr. Manager, Assistant Manager, & Warranty Call Center to ensure that the AS400/WEBDCS system accurately reflects the policies and procedures of the Warranty Department. Ensure new logic implementation for WEBLTS is accurate by creating test scenarios, testing, following up, and monitoring of trends for a designated period. Ensure that the AS400 system accurately reflects coverages for all applicable parts and labor operations, if applicable.
Major Responsibilities
~ Review, update, and maintain warranty system to be in alignment with Warranty Policy & Procedures as well as Claims Processing Manual:
~ Labor Time Standard: review for new and existing labor operations, accurate model applicability and changes in labor operation times. Monitor global system to identify change requests to Labor Time Standard and apply to local system. Collaborate with Quality Service Engineering on Labor Time Review validation initiated by dealers and send results to HMC for labor time increase consideration. Collaborate with After Sales Accessories Team on accessory op code-model applicability. Review labor operations for Op-to-Op compatibility. Review straight time usage and request new labor operation to model application, if necessary.
~ Parts Quantity: Identifies all parts that require > 1 and update the system accordingly.
~ Parts to model application: Work with Parts Department to ensure that all parts show the correct model application(s) in AS400. Communicate exceptions to the Parts Department for correction.
~ Parts to labor operation: Ensure all labor operations have corresponding parts associated for causal part processing and vice versa.
Major Responsibilities (continued)
~ Maintain NPN Part List: research aftermarket pricing on certain chemicals/engine oil/ATF and seek HMC approval for increases in reimbursement for warranty repairs.
~ Identification of system updates due to changes by Service Engineering, HMC, HMMA, KMMG, Parts Department (parts catalog). Miscellaneous system updates for new models (LQMP), new ports, new plants, etc.
~ Support launch gate process by attending meetings and reporting on launch readiness for warranty related items such as labor operation time studies and part to model application.
~ Maintain part coverage application for new and existing parts, including part cost analysis for emissions coverage and review owner’s handbook for accuracy.
~ VIN decoder maintenance and any AS400 system related updates.
Authority
~ Employee will have authority to update AS400 for Warranty based upon identification and research of issues.
Education
Related Experience
~ Four to five years of warranty experience.
Skills/Knowledge
~ Excellent organizational skills.
~ Strong written and oral communications skills.
