Location
Purpose
~ Sr. Associate, Initial Quality Assurance – Pre-Delivery Inspection Operations will assist Sr. Group Manager and Senior Manager(s) with pre-delivery inspection activities at all ports and factories across USA. This position will assist developing, maintain and auditing process and procedures, printed material, program management, vendor and contract management that ultimately supports to ensure Hyundai and Genesis vehicles leave the ports and VPCs at the highest level of quality.
Major Responsibilities
Group Quality Management:
~ Help develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and standards for all vehicles arriving at USA ports.
~ Monitor and audit pre-delivery inspection procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
~ Identify areas for improvement and work with teams to implement corrective actions, enhancing overall vehicle quality.
Reporting and Analysis:
~ Work on regular reports on quality metrics, inspection results, and recall status to management and relevant stakeholders.
~ Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for improvement in quality and recall management processes.
~ Assist Port QA with input of third-party logistics daily processing data and generation of bi-weekly reports.
~ Generate daily and weekly summary reports submitted by all seaports.
~ Create summaries and update HMC weekly IQS reports.
Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Systems and Support:
~ Support Senior Manager, IQA activities various ports, ensuring timely and accurate inspection of vehicles before delivery to dealerships.
~ Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to manage the flow of vehicles through the PDI process efficiently.
~ Address any issues or discrepancies discovered during inspections and work with relevant parties to resolve them promptly.
~ Facilitates POE and POD with GIT team for Dealer PDI app validation.
~ Participate in performing Port of Departure (POD) and Port of Entry (POE) audits on new models with PDI Operation.
Major Responsibilities (continued)
~ Assists Maintaining the Port Audit web-based system at admin Level.
~ HUCV team with Dealer PDI application enhancements.
~ Dealer visits to investigate PDI process, aged vehicles, and quality of delivered vehicles. Time study at extreme environmental conditions to ensure quality of body cover protection.
~ Evaluate and test Dealer PDI app functionality and provide time study for each vehicle model. Video record full time study of Dealer PDI app and added script for dealer reference.
Compliance, Documentation (Printed Material-QRG) & Ad-hoc Support:
~ Assist with development and maintenance of all printed materials including QRG (Quick reference guides), Bluelink, GCS (Genesis Connected Car), and QR Code stickers.
~ Manage the overall development and schedule of printed materials meet tight printing and supplier deadlines.
~ Participate in new model ride and drive evaluations to understand and experience new content for QRG development.
~ Assist Model Line, Systems, New Model Engineers with reviewing Owner’s Manuals.
~ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to inspections, recalls, and quality control activities.Evaluate Dealer issues daily to find trends and classify the severity based on HMA quality rating.
~ Assist with local trips to investigate and review concerns such as vehicle dynamics, vehicle processing, vehicle loading and unloading concerns at seaports.
~ Coordinate and participate in Port Installed Option accessories PPAP evaluation. Evaluations of Port Installed Option accessories such as mud guards, wheels and tires, badge preparation, crossbars, sport shifter

~ Problem identification and problem solving only.
~ This is a support position, focused on delivering day to day tasks and analyses with a degree of autonomy and receiving general instructions on new assignments.
Education
Related Experience
~ Four or more years of relevant experience in Program Management with an automotive company preferred.
~ Automotive Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience required.
Skills/Knowledge
~ Knowledge with Program management and use of Smartsheet technology
~ Proficient Computer Skills, strong knowledge with Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX operating system (Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
-Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
-Knowledge in AIAG guidelines
~ Vehicle evaluation in both static and dynamic conditions.
~ High Degree of cross functional cooperation/coordination.
~ Ability to lead through influence vs direct authority.
~ Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
~ Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for managing IQS data.
~ Knowledge with PDI Audit data.
