Location
Purpose
- This position is responsible for achieving the company’s collision & mechanical parts sales and profit objectives by managing the company’s parts wholesale program.
- Support wholesale initiatives for mechanical and collision by coordinating timing, launches, pricing, promotions and region and field staff efforts, to promote parts sales and a competitive sales strategy.
- Provide reporting and analysis on opportunities, results and areas for sales growth.
Major Responsibilities
Collaboration
- Interface with the Mobis, dealers, the regions, appropriate departments, and other business units to carry out the Collision and Mechanical sales plans to meet company sales and profit objectives.
- Assist with wholesale training, Quick Reference Guides (QRGs), and other necessary documentation required to support parts sales growth.
- Work closely with Pricing and Sales teams to achieve wholesale parts revenue & profit objectives.
Planning Operations
- Support implementation of programs and promotions to grow wholesale sales and profit while strengthening dealer engagement, genuine collision parts sales, service retention and the owner experience.
- Oversee and manage vendor programs which includes RFPs, program performance and identifying new programs to launch related to retail/service parts to achieve wholesale business plan objectives.
- Support the evaluation and coordination of sales proposals as needed to optimize profit and customer needs. Assist investigation of opportunities to offer new sales channels.
Major Responsibilities (continued)
- Select partners for promotions, process billing for dealers, apply credits as necessary, select suppliers for various programs related to wholesale sales growth.
- Support regions and dealers through obtaining feedback and suggestions for program improvements and propose changes that are feasible and appropriate.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare, review, and distribute Month End reports.
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc status reports.
- Coordinate, develop, and design department presentations for broad range of audiences including HMA executive management, HMC executive management, dealership, and region personnel.
- Prepare proposals, planning schedules, contracts, budgets, and all supporting documents required for new program launches.
Budget & Purchasing
- Department Budget Support – Support annual department budget, monitor budget compliance through review of monthly reports & identify/resolve variance issues and concerns.
- Facilitate invoice processing and approvals with internal departments.
- Maintain supplier agreements, change orders, purchase requests, purchase orders, and invoices. Facilitate processing and approvals with internal departments.
- Oversee supplier selection and relationship management, including RFP and Scope of Service development. Review and approve deliverables. Ensure Hyundai needs and expectations are met.
Authority
- Oversee performance of suppliers and internal support departments. Includes developing scope, monitoring quality, and ensuring delivery of goods/services. Also includes review of and recommendations for supplier agreements, purchase requests, budget, and billing services for vendor programs as needed.
- Support pricing discussions with large accounts based on competitive pricing data.
- Develop and manage program budgets.
- Decision making in both strategic and tactical actions for Parts initiatives.
- This position has common Manager-level authority defined by HR/Finance company policy.
Education
Related Experience
- At least six years of experience, of which at least three years of directly related experience in parts sales is desired.
- Automotive understanding of vehicle parts, parts pricing, parts sales, parts operational experience preferred
- Experience with Benchmarking and Market Analysis of OEM parts desired.
- Experience with project management and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Service Retail parts background a plus.
Skills/Knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to allow effective interaction with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently, works under pressure of deadlines, handle multiple priorities and pay close attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
