Purpose

~ This role will lead the development and execution of social media strategies for Hyundai's LinkedIn (sole ownership) and Twitter (in collaboration with marketing and customer care) accounts; with responsibility for managing the day-to-day operations of Hyundai's social media accounts to develop strategies for increasing the online presence and engagement.

~ The position will lead Hyundai's PR influencer outreach program, identify key influencers, build relationships, create dashboards, and negotiate influencer programs. This role will lead content creation and comment curation for key executives developing and executing a social media content strategy that supports the executive's brand and the company's overall marketing goals.

~ The position will be required to write in the executive's voice, crafting compelling and engaging content for LinkedIn and Twitter. The position will also be responsible for gaining earned media coverage and visibility for Hyundai’s industry-leading marketing campaigns.

Major Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

~ Leading the development and execution of social media content strategies that drive engagement and brand awareness including managing a content calendar.

~ Managing a team of content creators and agency resources.

~ Creating executive content.

~ Delivering metrics and analytics of impressions, reach and engagement.

~ Driving earned media coverage of marketing programs.

 

Key Skills Sets Sought:

~ Expertise with LinkedIn and Twitter.

~ Strong writer. Ability to copy edit

~ Experience editing photos and graphics.

~ Understanding of metrics and analytics.

~ Previous experience negotiating influencer agreements.

~ Previous experience working with social media influencers.

~ Earned media pitching experience.

~ Ability to collaborate well with other departments, including marketing.

Authority

~ Independent judgment required on critical-issue decision making, problem identification, problem solving, and dealing with media, vendors, influencers and stakeholders on a deadline basis.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

~ Six to seven years of public relations experience.

~ Experience in the automotive industry a plus.

~ Experience in corporate or agency automotive public relations is a plus.

~ Previous experience in social media and influencer engagement a plus.

~ Experience as a journalist or influencer in electronic media is a plus.

- Experience managing teams of content creators.

- Experience managing social media platforms and analytics.

Skills/Knowledge

~ Ability to express oneself clearly, concisely, effectively, and convincingly in writing and speaking.

~ Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that influencers and their followers, can understand those issues.

~ Ability to prepare full range of written materials and social media content for the media.

~ Familiarity with word processing programs and computer presentation programs.

~ Ability to supervise photography of HMA products and select product photography for release in all necessary formats.

~ Ability to speak in public.
