Purpose

  • The primary purpose of the Manager of Media Performance role is to actively support the Senior Manager, Media Strategy in the management and performance of HMA’s media campaigns.  This role will also serve as the point person for the media investment and financial reports, e.g. monthly spending and forecast reporting.  The ideal candidate must have the acumen across strategic performance-driven media, an understanding of the automotive consumer and landscape and the ability to align media initiatives with overarching marketing objectives that result in positive business outcomes.

Major Responsibilities

  • Actively and proactively support the management and performance of media campaigns.
  • Provide data and analysis regarding investment, interest and demand at brand/model level.
  • Manage and deliver monthly (and ad-hoc) media budget, spending and forecasting reports in collaboration with Marketing Finance and Agencies.
  • Connect with Marketing Performance, Customer Communications/Digital Strategy, Retail Marketing, Brand/Social Marketing, Agencies and other relevant teams to review KPIs and performance metrics and make media optimizations and adjustment recommendations.
  • Develop and deliver key data and analysis to be used in Marketing Performance/Governance meetings.
  • Review media briefs, plans and tactics by model and at regional/market level.
  • Lead in-market performance review meetings and provide summary analysis for upward reporting.
  • Support media/marketing management in the execution of media plans, using data visualization, demand metrics reports, brand metrics reports, media investment tools and third-party reports and tools.
  • Act as primary point of contact with HDAA/Tier 2 to understand the regional media plans and ensure alignment with Tier 1 activities.
  • Ensure in-market creative is appropriate and aligns with intended media placement goals.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

  • Conduct and lead regular meetings with key partners (e.g. Endemics) to confirm efficacy of existing investments, explore new opportunities and provide POVs/recommendations.
  • Manage Google relationship, including oversight of Search metrics and use of Google Analytics to deliver greater insight into HMA’s demand generation efforts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between HMA Media and working level HMA PLM team.
  • Connect with Marketing Performance team to provide ongoing analysis of Search/Sales Share Ratios and Conversion by model, by region and by market.

Authority

  • This position requires a high level of independent judgment, analysis and problem-solving regarding data that is critical to inform media, marketing and executive-level business decisions.  The position collects, controls and manages data and media investment reporting that may directly influence HMA business operations.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree required.

Related Experience

  • Six or more years of experience in media strategy, planning and/or buying.
  • At least three years of experience directly managing media performance, data capture, analysis, governance and reporting is preferred.
  • At least three years of automotive marketing.
  • Three or more years of experience in supplier management experience preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of Google Analytics, including GA360/GA4.
  • Direct experience using data platforms and visualization tools.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Ability to manage high-paced environment with multiple projects and agency personnel.
  • Willing to learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing timelines and proactively think ahead for anticipated needs.
  • Can develop strong interpersonal relationships at variety of levels; executive, managerial, subordinate and agency hierarchy of personnel.
  • Able to communicate and present in a clear, concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Can work autonomously and make decisions independently.
  • Effective project, personnel and budget management skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel including data processing functions.
  • Experience creating data visualizations, preferably in Tableau.
  • Must be knowledgeable and comfortable with data utilization.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing and website practices and technologies.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Understanding of automotive retail environment.
  • Understanding of media buying practices and terminology.

$86,800.00 - $124,000.00 Annual
