Location
Purpose
~ Manage model-line product planning & strategy for Genesis models.
~ Handle the development of long-range product roadmap & EV product strategy.
~ Support in the development of technology roadmap (ADAS, Infotainment, Connectivity) for Genesis vehicles.
Major Responsibilities
~ Represent US VOC through vehicle development.
~ Use advacned knowledge to develop comprehensive product concept planning proposals for full-model changes and facelifts based on segment analysis, product positioning, customer insight, cost implications, and other market factors.
~ Exercise independent judgement to develop lifecycle plan for Genesis models by establishing strategies for market position, target buyer, sales volume and model packaging based on extensive market research and customer insights.
~Utilize in-depth market and competitive analysis in order to deliver compelling product recommendations suitable for presentation to senior management.
~ Interface directly with HMC planning staff helping to ensure understanding of product strategy.
~ Work with Pricing and PLM teams to optimize trim level packaging strategies to support overall profitability and sales targets.
~ Work with Technology Planning and Accessory Planning on feature application strategy by model line
~ Attend product meetings and design evaluations in Korea as needed.
~ Provide dynamic feedback and recommendations during ride & drive events.
Major Responsibilities (continued)
~ Review and sign-off initial production units during SOP (start of production) for new models or facelifts.
~ Create extensive product presentation materials detailing the model highlights and competitive position to use for product briefings/training and media launch events.
~ Ensure accuracy of all product related materials for the company (Monroney labels, brochures, web, press-releases, etc.) through Product Guide development and ownership.
~ Work with Market Research team to guide product research efforts in areas of model-line research and analysis (clinics, focus groups, etc.).
~ Work with Market Research team to guide advanced research in areas of new concept development (immersions, trending programs, etc.).
~ Work with Sr. Manager to integrate competitive analysis to forward product plans, new product ideation, line-up strategy, brand positioning.

Education
Related Experience
~ Six or more years of relevant experience of which at least four years of directly related experience in automotive manufacturer / distributor.
~ Direct product planning experience a plus.
Skills/Knowledge
~ Strong command of automotive technology and trends.
~ Strong oral & written communications skills.
~ Proficient with PC applications.
~ Proficient with frequently used Automotive Planning & Analysis.
~ Tools including Polk Insight, mTab, J.D. Power PIN & JATO.
