Purpose

  • This position is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of the company’s national field’s training activities for employees – including product training, sales and aftersales experience best practices, online and in-person training curriculum, competitive reference materials and more. The position is responsible for field training support and communication.
  • Responsible for developing and updating Hyundai Field Training, websites, and other systems and materials related to field training. Develop annual national sales training budget. Works collaboratively within team and other supporting departments.

Major Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with operation teams (Aftersales, Sales, Dealer Network, Customer Feedback, Retail Experience, Product, and Training teams) to lead and execute training curriculum for HMA’s field teams.
  • Collaborate extensively with Sales, Field Operations and other internal stakeholders to cater curriculum in alignment with vision, direction, objectives of field management positions and objectives with training outcomes and goals.
  • Partner with senior management to establish goals and develop strategy and objectives, ensuring content is tailored to meet the business needs.
  • Assist in developing the right training at the right time in a modern and memorable way.
  • Co-Develop future retailing strategy and program to improve sales and customer experience.
  • Manage process of vendor selection related to instructional learning & oversee management of vendor relationship associated with job responsibilities and initiatives.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

  • Develop supplemental training materials to support model launches, updated policies, process changes, and brand initiatives. 
  • Assess changes and impact of programs adjusting materials as necessary.
  • Oversee and manage the departmental annual budget and budget recovery funds.
  • Special projects, assignments or tasks as deemed appropriate and assigned by management.

Authority

  • Department leadership, budget development, vendor management, program development, problem identification, and finding solutions are all expected in this position.
  • All CR/PR/expense report approvals, program approvals, and budget decisions must ultimately be approved by the Director, Training and/or VP, AfterSales & Customer Experience.
  • Provide teams with feedback and identified opportunities for training and knowledge base processes.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Six or more years of experience with at least five years of direct experience with learning techniques.
  • Automotive industry experience preferred.
  • Strong analytics & process background.
  • Project Management experience desirable.
  • Budget Management/SAP experience desirable.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent project management, multi-task management, and curriculum development.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.

$86,800.00 - $124,000.00 Annual
