Purpose

~ Configure and manage the Cost Optimization Management System (web-based database platform) for all cost reduction measures on selected vehicles and for indirect functions in support of the Cost Optimization Committee.

 

Major Responsibilities

~ Manage the Cost Optimization Management System (COMS) to ensure consistent and effective use within and outside of the CO organization. Activities include:

~ Day-to-day management of COMS as our comprehensive cost management tool.

~ Ensure quality control of savings measure data input and activities.

~ Training and onboarding of resources relative to COMS platform.

~ Manage supplier relationship with COMS platform provider.

~ Development and management of accurate COMS dashboards.

~ Manage COMS templates and input of required external data into COMS.

~ Lead continuous improvement of Cost Optimization Management System.

     ~ Deliver accurate project health and status reporting in dashboard form.

~ Collaborate with CO and Cross Functional Team resources to follow-up on required actions & activities as laid out in COMs system.

~ Collaboration in complete project with all functions to further develop CO capabilities in tandem with COMs improvements.

~ The ideal candidate is someone who is digitally competent and understands how to manage online databases.

 

Authority

~ Propose detailed digital workflow processes required to efficiently operate the COMs system.

~ Directly coordinate with HMA, HMNA, HMMA, HATCI and HMC project team leaders as required to make the COMS tool a joint basis for decision making.
~ Lead and coordinate tool development with external provider.

~ Coordinate efficient use and integration of COMS in the digital Hyundai IT landscape.

 

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree required.

 

Related Experience

~ At least six (6) years of Project Management required.

~ Intimate knowledge of procurement processes a plus.

~ IT experience is a plus.

~ Experience in strategic Sourcing in the auto industry is a plus.

~ Project Management Office experience a plus.

 

Skill/Knowledge

~ Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

~ Proficient in PMO & data mgmt.

~ Strong written and oral communication skills.

~ Data management and statistical analysis and reporting.

 

Certification required

~ Satisfactory driving record.

~ Certified Project Manager Professional a plus.

 

Physical requirements

~ Significant data analysis and manipulation using keyboard.

~ Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule due to alignments between Korean and European time zone. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
