Intern, Quality Service Engineering

Support the Model Line Quality Engineering team with quality tasks, VOC dating mining, review of customer facing documents and Join us in making a difference as you support the Model Line Quality Engineering team! You'll become an integral part of vital initiatives—engaging in quality tasks, Voice of the Customer data mining, and reviewing customer-facing documents that directly impact our products. You will also have the exciting opportunity to support vehicle development activities, turning concepts into reality.

Hyundai internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2025 through June 2027.

Location: National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA. - Seeking local candidates only.
Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week

 

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Quality and VOC  
  • Support Engineers in researching and data mining of quality issues.  
  • Support Engineers in retrieving test parts for quality investigation.   
  • Support Quality Reference Guide (QRG) review and testing in-vehicle.  
  • Support Engineers in authoring Quality Information Reports (QIRs). 
  • Support Engineers in vehicle quality evaluations.  

 
Vehicle Development 

  • Support Engineers in ensuring test vehicles are instrumented and ready for ride and drive activities. 
  • Support updating of SOP and vehicle development calendars. 

 

Additional Notes:

  • Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2025   
  • Local to NHQ (no relocation or housing will be offered)   
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship   
  • Hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4x per week, depending on business/project need)   
  • Visa sponsorship is not available   
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday) 
  • Compensation: $25.00/Hour

 

Education:

  • Must be a high school graduate  
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or other analytical / technical fields, including technical writing, and/or public policy. 

 

Skill/Knowledge:

  • Interest in automotive engineering and/or the automotive industry 
  • Organization and communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, high integrity, and ethical behavior

 

Certification Required:

  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
