Intern, Mobility & Connectivity
The Mobility & Connectivity Intern plays a vital role in shaping the future of driving experiences at Hyundai Motor America (HMA). The primary mission is to elevate the Feature on Demand (FoD) platform, unlocking a world of possibilities for Hyundai and Genesis customers. By crafting a dynamic roadmap for cutting-edge in-vehicle technologies, the intern has the opportunity to turn vision into reality, allowing drivers to truly personalize their journey.

To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2025 through June 2027.

Location: National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA. - Seeking local candidates only.
Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week
Project Details:
Project Scope: The Mobility & Connectivity intern will focus on creating the FoD roadmap, including in-vehicle digital features, pricing models, and conducting a competitive analysis for Hyundai and Genesis vehicles.
Goal: Acquire a solid understanding of Hyundai and Genesis’ in-vehicle digital experience strategies and how these align with broader HMNA business objectives. The intern will also evaluate how the FoD features meet customer expectations and preferences. Through a comparative analysis of digital features and pricing, the goal is to position Hyundai and Genesis competitively in the marketplace. The intern will present an overview of the project and key recommendations at the end of the internship to Hyundai management.
Major Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing the FoD feature roadmap through the use of internal and external research, competitive analysis, and market trend assessments.
- Collaborate with Product Planning, Market Research, and Marketing teams to understand how FoD digital products integrate with Hyundai’s business strategy.
- Collaborate with these teams to understand how FoD digital products fit into the Genesis luxury brand strategy.
- Provide recommendations on pricing strategies for FoD features based on gathered insights.
- Help identify partnerships with Display Theme brands whose intellectual properties align with the Hyundai and Genesis identities.
- Additional Projects/Tasks
- Provide support for any additional mobility-related strategy requests that align with the internship program’s goals.
Additional Notes:
- Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2025
- Local to NHQ (no relocation or housing will be offered)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship
- Hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4x per week, depending on business/project need)
- Visa sponsorship is not available
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
- Compensation: $25.00/Hour
Education:
- Junior or Senior in the process of completing a degree at an accredited 4-year university
Related Experience:
- Experience in Automotive a plus
Skill/Knowledge:
- Self-starter, ability to thrive with little supervision, navigating an ambiguous project environment
- Strong quantitative analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, and ability to grasp new concepts
