Intern, Hydrogen Product & Infrastructure Development
Your role in supporting the implementation of a cutting-edge technology and business development strategy for hydrogen infrastructure in California is more than just a job—it's an opportunity to shape the future of clean energy. By collaborating with the Commercial Vehicle & Hydrogen team across North America, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, fostering meaningful partnerships with external business allies, government agencies, and R&D institutes. This position is your chance to make a tangible impact, as you track essential state government incentives and engage with the newly established hydrogen hubs throughout the U.S.

To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2025 through June 2027.
Timeline:

Location: National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA. - Seeking local candidates only.
Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week
Major Responsibilities:
- Desk research activities including collection of information, analyzing trends & assessing the landscape.
- Network activity including contacts with public and private institutions.
- Identify opportunities for Hyundai to develop Hydrogen economy and liaise with state officials for the development of Hydrogen Hubs.
- Initiate the process of applying for central/local government eco-friendly subsidy programs.
Additional Notes:
- Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2025
- Local to NHQ (no relocation or housing will be offered)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship
- Hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4x per week, depending on business/project need)
- Visa sponsorship is not available
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
- Compensation: $25.00/Hour
Education:
- Must be a high school graduate
- Bachelor’s degree candidate
- Master’s degree candidate or above in Engineering preferred
Related Experience:
- Research experience directly relevant to renewables and sustainability.
- Experience in government relations and state/federal government granted projects.
Skill/Knowledge:
- Cross-cultural communication skills, analytical ability, presentation skills, and an ability to work cross functionally
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong PowerPoint skills and ability to synthesize information effectively
