Intern, Data Analytics & Performance Optimization

Location: National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA. - Seeking local candidates only.
Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week
Major Responsibilities:
- Sales Performance: Analyze data at a national/regional/market level to identify the root causes of underperformance and develop recommendations to improve performance.
- Incentives: Collaborate to optimize competitiveness and achieve sales objectives.
- Pricing: Collaborate to identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Product Planning: Provide strategic input to ensure vehicles meet Sales and Marketing channel marketplace needs.
- Strategy: Support development of vehicle positioning strategies and Key Selling Points (KSPs) for all-new, major change, and face-lift vehicles.
- Marketing: Collaborate to ensure product concept, positioning, KSPs are clearly communicated and with consistency throughout all company-owned and 3rd party websites/channels.
- Production: Partner with Distribution to ensure optimized trim mix and balanced pipeline.
- Finance: Analyze and validate financial impact of recommendations.
Project Details:
- The data analytics & performance optimization intern will lead a summer long project focused on utilizing predictive analytics methodologies (multivariate regressions, Python, R) to study market, pricing & vehicle inventory variables and explain their effect on automotive sales & marketing outcomes.
- The project will consist of training data models, validating model outcomes, and creating executive level presentations to communicate findings & recommendations.
Additional Notes:
- Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2025
- Local to NHQ (no relocation or housing will be offered)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship
- Hybrid schedule (onsite 3-4x per week, depending on business/project need)
- Visa sponsorship is not available
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)
- Compensation: $25.00/Hour
Education:
- Must be a high school graduate
- Significant course work towards MBA, Masters of Business Analytics, or Data Analytics graduate program
Skill/Knowledge:
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good organizational and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Proficient in: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with data analytics and data visualization software (Tableau, R, Python a plus)
