Location: National Headquarters in Fountain Valley, CA. - Seeking local candidates only.
Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week 

Project Purpose: Create a future vehicle positioning recommendation (MSRP)  
Project Scope: The Advanced Pricing Strategy intern will focus on the creation of a pricing recommendation for a select model, while supporting development of other models, based on the model milestone timeline. Model(s) to be determined once calendar is available.   
Goal: Gain a working knowledge of the Hyundai future milestone pricing process and demonstrate the development of analytical skills by presenting their understanding of the tools, techniques, and acumen acquired through the intern program   

Major Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of vehicle pricing proposals for select Hyundai models using data collected via the analysis of the model’s competitive environment, market trends, and volume targets.   
  • Support the creation of insightful pricing recommendations and support documents customized specifically to each model’s unique circumstances, effectively telling the story of each model and its current status within the pricing milestone timeline  
  • Collaborate with Product Planning, Finance, and Sales to understand vehicle package plans, financial goals, and sales objectives of select Hyundai models. Incorporate understanding into pricing recommendations  
  • Support the consistency and accuracy of all pricing documents   
  • Provide support for ad-hoc pricing strategy-related requests

Additional Notes:

  • Local to NHQ (no relocation or housing will be offered) 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship

  • Compensation: $25.00/Hour

 

Education: 

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Junior or Senior in the process of completing a degree at an accredited 4-year university 

 

Related Experience:

  • Experience in Automotive a plus 

 

Skill/Knowledge:

  • Self-starter, ability to thrive with little supervision, navigating an ambiguous project environment  
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to grasp new concepts
