Purpose

  • Works in collaboration with National & Regional teams for Hyundai & Genesis brands implementing the Fewer, Bigger, Better (FBB) Network transformational strategy focused on operational excellence and conforming branding standards. Identifies, engages and coordinates with current and prospective dealers to facilitate and support negotiations between perspective parties, while optimizing network representation via facility actions, relocations, exclusivity and other various network activates. This is a critical role in restructuring and improving the Hyundai & Genesis dealer network performance, image, and representation in support of the company objectives.

Major Responsibilities

  • Identifies & meets with perspective dealer candidates and current dealers to optimize network configurations and ownership consolidation.
  • Collaborates and executes on priorities and interests for Hyundai & Genesis in identified key priority markets driving incremental sales. Ensures actions and FBB strategy are aligned
  • Presents to Governance Committee to review and authorize HMA & GMA commitments.
  • Provides Regional support/direction aligned with FBB strategy while providing coaching to Dealership owners and Regional teams.  Will recommend & prioritize actions at a Regions level to support dealer relationships and support legal needs.
  • Routinely reviews sales results and evaluates contributions made through the network changes. Analysis improvements and Market Studies that may influence future strategy and actions. Incorporates new knowledge and research into future changes.
  • Acts as primary field SME on FBB network strategies. Manages all required market action negotiations, network

  • Works with National Strategy and Legal to ensure any agreements accurately reflect commitments and obligations of Dealers and HMA/GMA.
  • Work with Brokers, Equity Capital Firms, Real Estate representatives, etc.  toward identification of optimal locations and financial structures.
  • Maintains documentation of HMA and GMA obligations and ensures that commitments are executed according to agreements.
  • Meets with potential new dealers to develop a positive image of HMA and GMA brands and company.

Authority

  • Establishes Market Action priorities.
  • Negotiates GDSI/GRD commitments and timing.
  • Responsible for implementation of long-term network strategy.
  • Reviews & provides recommendations on dealer application packages.
  • Responsible for dealer performance standards.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Fifteen or more years wholesale automotive experience including five years in positions relating to market analysis and dealer representation planning and placement.
  • Seven or more years of senior level experience with OEM field background.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.

$215,000.00 - $265,000.00 Annual
