Purpose

  • This role will collect, create, provide & present automotive technical and non-technical training to support Techline operations and growth.
  • This role will enhance Techline personnel above & beyond to efficiently support Dealers to improve Fix it Right First Time (FRFT) metrics, reduce dealer misdiagnosis and/or over-repair.

Major Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities and source/develop related training material to present to individuals, teams, or the department based on available operational data and observed needs.
  • Track, monitor & report on support agent training status, work with management to schedule for 100% completion.
  • Perform training process for new Techline agents preparing them to operate independently and effectively.
  • Create and maintain a library of documentation for department related processes and curriculums.
  • Lead discussions related to agent performance from a technical & non-technical aptitude perspective.
  • Contribute in identifying suggestions related to special service tools and diagnostic process opportunities.
  • Work closely with warranty tech center management to identify bi-directional synergy opportunities.
  • Maintain the highest familiarization & technical aptitude w/newly released Hyundai vehicles and systems.
  • Source & provide preemptive technical training related to newly released models and systems.
  • Evaluate and compile information & provide training recommendations to department management.
  • Attend weekly Campaign and Launch gate meetings and relay information to Techline.

Authority

  • Recommend curriculums based on analysis and issue/problem identification.
  • Schedule HMA vehicles, shop & meeting spaces required for hand-on training presentation & delivery.
  • Due to the nature of this position/role, the employee is provided a company vehicle.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Must be a high school graduate

Related Experience

  • Five or more years of experience in automotive repair and diagnosis (Hyundai preferred).
  • Three or more years with OEM Techline Operations (Hyundai preferred).
  • One or more years of training experience (Hyundai preferred).

Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent Problem Analysis Skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • PC software skills (Adobe, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, etc.).
  • Strong data analysis and visualization skills a plus.

Certification

  • ASE Master Certification or Hyundai Technician Platinum Certification.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be eligible for enrollment in the company’s auto insurance policy.

$69,300.00 - $99,000.00 Annual
