The Senior Group Manager, RX Programs & Training Integration is a highly cross-functional leadership role that oversees the development, deployment and reporting of dealer programs and incentives designed to motivate and inspire exceptional performance in Retail Experience. This role also oversees the development, deployment, and integration of Hyundai’s University and learning management system. Working across the organization, this role will lead and guide an integrated manifestation of Hyundai’s retail experience vision through the proper oversight of incentives programs and the application of the LMS. Management of vendors and in-house teams in coordination with other departments and field coordination are crucial and vital to the SGM’s success.  Effectiveness of training will be measured by industry benchmarking surveys (Carlisle, NADA, etc) as well as internal metrics for Hyundai Customer Satisfaction, currently Hyundai Customer Reviews via SureCritic.  Sound program and budget management and reporting are also vital to this role.


Major Responsibilities:

~ Work in partnership with: Retail Experience and Training, Service Experience and Training, Technical Training leads to ensure integration into HMA’s University platform.

~ Work in partnership with Sr. Group Manager of Customer Feedback and Analytics to ensure successful development, implementation, and ongoing execution of dealer incentives designed to improve HMA’s RX

~ Work in strong collaboration with operational teams (Aftersales, Sales, Dealer Network, Customer Feedback, Training) and training teams to lead and execute cross-functional national programs like a third party retail experience evaluation initiative

~ Serve as the primary interface to the internal, region, and dealer staff regarding HMA’s University platform, RX Programs and Initiatives

~ Oversee and manage the departmental annual budget and budget recovery funds, as well as incentive programs.

~ Effectively coach, counsel and develop staff and vendors. Utilize the diverse talents of the staff and vendors by efficiently managing staff’s time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company.



~ Primary authority to prioritize, filter, and manage timing and content for all university related materials and website builds

~ Primary authority for vendor selection for university LMS management and training delivery platforms.

~ A primary stakeholder for policy changes within the division in regards to dealer training, RX experience

~ Development acquisition and execution of annual department budget and incentives budget

~ Management and development of personnel within the group.

~ Expense report approval.

~ Invoice and PR approval.

~ Time off approval.



~ Must be a high school graduate.

~ Bachelor’s degree preferred.

~ Master’s degree a plus.


Related Experience:

~ Ten or more years of experience of which at least eight years of directly related experience in automotive service and sales operations.  

~ Five to seven years of supervisory experience desired.


Skill / Knowledge:

~ Ability to lead, train, motivate and manage multi-skilled personnel.

~ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

~ Excellent business analytical skills.

~ Project tracking and management skills.

~ High proficiency in PC skills, expertise in Microsoft programs.

~ Must be analytical and accomplished in presenting to different levels/audiences.

~ Proficiency with Learning Management Systems a plus


Physical Requirements:

~ Normal office duties.

~ Estimated 25-40% travel to regions/dealers.  Annual visit to Korea.
