Purpose

~ Liaison between the business and I/T community and participate in business system analysis and end user tasks to maintain the Warranty systems.  In addition, this position assists and supports activities related to the management of I/T and system related projects within the Warranty departments.

~ Manage and lead Warranty System projects from concept through successful implementation; follow the accepted methodology and standards; deliver expected results.

Major Responsibilities

~ Oversee all functions of the Warranty Systems (AS400 and WEBDCS), including creating new edits, modifying existing edits, updating, or creating new system functionality and warranty policy adherences to support both Hyundai and Genesis.

~ Work closely with all groups (campaign, billing, Expense Management) and HAEA to implement system changes for PWA, WTC, Warranty/(AS400) & WebDCS to ensure warranty system will support the increasing business needs.

~ Champion continuous improvement and or efficiency initiatives within the Warranty Systems.

~ Manage the updates, modifications, or implementation of new systems programs because of policy changes, new systems technology, new model/equipment technology, etc.

~ Manage the research and resolution of system errors with HAEA personnel.

~ Manage entire Warranty system IT projects throughout the project lifecycle.

~ Manage and provide status reports, project summaries, and other presentations for headquarters and other stakeholders.

~ Perform User Acceptance Testing on new system or various system enhancement.

~ Draft and publish field and dealer facing system announcement.

~ Work closely to regional personnel and various HMA team on new system improvement idea and/or system enhancements.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

~ Manage vendor relationships including in-house IT support groups.

~ Support the upkeep, maintenance, & enhancements of Warranty Systems.

~ Work with Sr Group Manager, Warranty Admin to establish Systems priorities.

~ Support managing systems staff and contractors within the group and develop emerging employee talent.

~ Manage vendors in converting user requirements into detailed systems design specifications.

~ Continuously seeks to identify emerging trends and technology to help business groups solve the right business challenges and effectively leverage technology.

~ Night and weekend work expected for periodic system launches/upgrades.  Some travel.

Authority

~ Approve Project Management documents including Business Requirements, Statement of Works, Functional and Detailed Designs.

~ Approve IT related Service Requests, fixes and enhancements, ESM, and Login Requests.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Statistics/Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering preferred.
~ Master’s degree a plus
~ Must be a high school graduate

Related Experience

~ 6 to 7 years of experience with at least three years of experience in Warranty and/or Systems.

~ Experience in project and program management, preferably as a liaison between business units, system integration points, and IT functions.

Skills/Knowledge

~ Strong attention to detail and timelines.

~ Ability to work independently or under only general direction.

~ Excellent facilitation skills.

~ Demonstrated ability to interpret business processes and communicate these effectively to IT project managers.

~ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

~ Strong organizational skills – must be able to track multiple projects and tasks, at a detailed level.

~ Demonstrated ability to develop training to increase the effectiveness of the transition from existing to newly developed systems.

~ Microsoft Project experience preferred.

~ Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot system concerns and design efficient process flows.

~ Able to develop systems from a vision or concept.

~ Able to effectively oversee system design that encompasses various departments' and partners' needs.

~ Knowledge of consumer and/or dealer facing systems and processes.

Certification Required

~PMP Certification strongly desired.

$103,700.00 - $140,300.00 Annual
