Purpose

~ Align Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) and the Americas Strategic Regions (SR) product/profit targets by model through each of the product milestones.

~ Coordinate and adjust cost optimization initiatives for each country to achieve regional profit goals.

~ Monitor the performance of models after launch to make recommendations to further maximize profit.

~ Serve as the voice of the Americas SR product teams and advise Product Director Office leadership on all product performance and manufacturing matters to achieve product planning and sales targets.

Major Responsibilities

~ Steer Hyundai Americas SR through HMC product milestones to maximize profit and sales potential while having a complete understanding of HMC development capabilities.

~ Consolidate US, Canada, and Mexico product proposals to have effective communication with HMC and contribute to the development of the most competitive products for North America.

~ Align Americas SR performance with HMC targets and develop countermeasures to minimize discrepancies.

~ Use advanced knowledge to optimize targets according to each market’s competitive environment, performance, and improve plan.

~ Monitor monthly sales and finance performance for each market.

~ Manage HMC’s product and profit related ad hoc requests with US, Canada, and Mexico.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

~ Support top management with decision making for Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama cost reduction activities.

~ Assist with expanding the Product Director Office practice to other regional HQs across Hyundai.

Authority

~ Product development, price positioning, sales and material cost management.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

~ Six or more years of professional experience in automotive manufacturer/distributor with direct product responsibilities (planning, marketing, and/or sales).

~ Minimum three years of supervisory experience desired.

~ Cross-functional team management experience is required.

Skills/Knowledge

~ Excel, PowerPoint, Word proficiency.

~ Good organizational and data mining skills.

~ Outstanding written and verbal presentation skills required for external and senior leadership interactions.

~ Strong automotive technology knowledge.

$85,400.00 - $122,000.00 Annual
