~ This position is responsible for supporting the company’s retail/service part sales and marketing efforts through promotions, incentives, coordinating field staff efforts and vendor programs.

~  Develops, analyzes, implements and manages parts sales programs and performance standards in order to ensure a consistent, balanced package of services to support Hyundai parts sales performance.

~ Authorize and oversee regional programs to support retail/service parts sales utilizing existing tools (ex. Star Awards) and/or newly developed platforms.

~ Provide reporting and analysis on opportunities, results and areas of part sales growth.

Major Responsibilities

~ Parts Sales operation activities:

~ Reports Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on part sales, profit, trend analysis identifying areas of growth and improvement.

~ Manages and promotes all parts sales programs such as, but not limited to:  Parts Sales analysis and planning, Part Sales Marketing Plans, Gray Market/Aftermarket/Counterfeit activity coordination with MPA and Legal, assist investigation of opportunities to capitalize on new sales channels.

~ Manage business plan within company guidelines and requirements while achieving sales projections. Support the Sr. Manager, Parts Sales to implement process improvements and develop countermeasure plans based on parts sales performance.

~ Work closely with Parts Pricing to provide part sales input for monthly/yearly forecasts and other analytics.

~ Oversee and manage vendor programs which includes RFPs, program performance and identifying new programs to launch related to retail/service parts to achieve business plan objectives.

~ Region/dealer/independent repair facility interface duties, whether by phone, travel/in person visits to promote and coordinate sales activities to increase retail/service part sales.

~ Provide targeted sales analysis of future promotional programs to determine the potential benefits in sales, increased CSI and ROI.

~ Provide Repair Order (RO) Data Analysis for future parts sales growth opportunities and/or provide the necessary counter-measure activities to increase parts sales.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

~ Develop, maintain, and ensure data integrity between databases used to extract and hold critical Parts, Service, and Dealer related information used to track and review performance and effectiveness of various report metrics.

~ Create report templates that can be populated with aggregated data to track regional, district, dealer, or parts performance trends that are routinely distributed to field staff and executive management.

~ Integrate raw data (ex. SQL, QMF) into PowerPoint slides that can be used by management for presentations and performance measurement.

~ Ad Hoc reporting and Analysis: Provides Regions, MPA and National staff with information on parts usage and trends. Targets areas where Hyundai is not the primary source for parts (i.e.: gray/aftermarket).

~ Issuance of Discretionary Credits that are submitted by the regions and approved by National.

~ Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position. This will include interfacing with MPA, Legal, Purchasing, Service and Regional Staff, Dealers and HAEA on various different projects depends on needs of the department.

~ Support the Sr. Manager, Parts Sales in the planning and coordination of the annual budget for Parts Sales. Manage the daily maintenance of the Parts sales budget and supplier billing through SAP.


~ Tracks promotions budget and approvals along with process vendor invoices.

~ Assign dealer, district and region objectives for part sales revenue and profit.

~ Select vendor partners for promotions, process billing for dealers, apply dealer credits when required and select vendors for programs related to retail/service part sales growth.

~ Manages exceptions to include or disqualify certain dealers or dealer personnel based on program timing or qualification circumstances.

~ Coach and provide career development advice to staff.


~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred

Related Experience

~ Five to six years of automotive experience with emphasis on Automotive Retail and vendor management.

~ 2 -3 years of managerial experience desired. 

~ Service Retail parts background a plus.


~ Ability to develop, implement and manage national marketing plan and budget.

~ Communication skills to prepare and deliver formal presentations to executive management, Regions and Dealers.

~ Writing skills to prepare proposals and business correspondence.

~ Knowledge of computerized spreadsheet, e-mail and word processing programs. Is proficient in computer usage (Word, Excel, , Access and PowerPoint, etc.)  Basic SQL, AS/400, QMF, Tableau, Alteryx or mainframe knowledge desired to pull data for analysis, decision-making and reporting.

~ Working experience utilizing a database management system.

~ Ability to travel to support parts sales activities when required.
