Purpose
~ Work with Sr. Manager, Parts Pricing to develop and implement effective pricing strategies that continue to meet competitive market demands while achieving corporate profit objectives. Monitor pricing actions to evaluate and recommend appropriate solutions. Support pricing responsibilities which includes developing regional objectives, on-going study of market conditions relative to parts pricing. Support on all Recalls/Campaign functions. Manage Parts Pricing Associate's work to ensure all Parts pricing is completed timely and accurately.
Major Responsibilities
~ Manage, train, and mentor Parts Pricing Associate on pricing new parts in line with pricing strategy as direct report .
~Create competitive parts pricing index against comparable OEMs and make recommendation to management on pricing action based on industry knowledge, achieving results and maintaining competitive strategy. Results of recommendation have a direct result on Department and Corporate KPI.
~Design and implement databases which streamline the measurement of Part Sales Performance and can be used to evaluate performance of Parts Sales by major product line.
~Collaborate closely with Parts Sales and analyze promotions (i.e. Hyundai Go Genuine Program) to assess impact on parts sales and profit. Assure program profitability through analysis of historical data, projected incremental sales and gross profit margin
~ Oversee or perform competitive parts price research, identify market factors affecting pricing, prepare analysis and recommend strategies that adjust to competitive market influences.
~ Application of Market-Based Pricing for appropriate parts.
~ Provide recommendations through analysis of critical data and applied industry experience.
~ Manage all databases relating to Market-Based Pricing ensuring integrity and accuracy of data.
~ Design, plan and implement various pricing projects such as: collision pricing action, pricing alignments to achieve pricing margin objectives.
Major Responsibilities (continued)
~ Oversee all elements of HMA parts pricing, including maintenance of parts pricing for all parts on the Parts Master file.
~ Ensure the Dealer's Parts Price is completed correctly and on time.
~ Interface MPA, Dealers, Regions and MOBIS Korea/Alabama on pricing issues and administers resolution.
~ Work closely with Parts Sales Manager and Service to increase Parts Sales (Parts and Accessories) through design of Parts promotions.
~ Oversee and approve Month End Sales Reports.
~ Manage various department cross function projects that may involve: Purchasing, Service, Engineering, MPA, Production Planning, HAEA and others.

~ Review and revise work done by Parts Pricing associates.
~ Dealer, Wholesale, suggested retail pricing applications and changes.

Skills/Knowledge
~ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to allow effective
interaction with all levels of the organization.
~ Ability to work independently, work under pressure of deadlines, handle multiple priorities and pay close attention to detail.
~ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
~ Expert level database management capability.
~ Advanced SQL, AS/400 or mainframe experience.
~ Ability to thrive in a team environment.
~ Ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
~ Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
