Purpose

  • Leadership role responsible for all field related sales activities and lead the sub-division that communicates to our GMA Regional Offices. 
  • Direct sales planning and provide guidance for vehicle car flow and rundown that is consistent with production and sales plans.
  • Lead and provide recommendations for new types of analysis and forecasting methodologies for the sales functions to optimize promotional resources to support achievement of sales volume and the market share objective.
  • Oversee the teams responsible for retail process improvement, training, sales planning and sales analytics and forecasting.
  • Responsible for maintaining relationship and communication with Genesis Retailer Advisory Board (RAB), as well as NADA.  Included are RAB communications, NADA Dealer Attitude Survey and GMA broadcasts.
  • Manage the support of Genesis Sales division with sales, production, and dealer support program planning.

Major Responsibilities

  •  Primary individual to develop and implement field strategy, determine optimal structure and personnel needs, development, and job descriptions. Identify top field talent for development.
  •  Coordinate and prioritize all field related activities as developed by NHQ. Responsible for leading efforts in executing GMA executive communications to the field and retailers.
  • Serve as the Sub-Division head for all aspects that impact the regional organization (Communications, MSP, Sales Forecasting, Marketing, etc.).
  • Responsible for maintaining relationship and developing communications for the RAB.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of Keystone Program (program rules, budgeting, analysis, forecasting, etc.). Provide responsive and accurate reporting and analysis as required; create support information and deliver high quality presentation of data and material as requested.
  • Responsible for creation and standard analysis of monthly sales results, including market share and segment performance relative to GMA’s competitive set and the overall industry.
  • Lead development of new approaches for analyzing sales results by region and market, including post-program analysis of incentive program changes and other go-to-market changes (advertising, co-op, MSP, etc.).
  • Evaluate competitive programs and determine the potential impact on the industry and GMA performance through quantitative, logic-based analysis.
  • Collaborate with the region leadership to improve the analytical rigor at the regional and market level.
  • Supervise and communicate/present monthly sales analysis, by carline, to ensure optimal ordering mix to Genesis Executives.
  • Oversee analysis of National and Regional sales programs and review sales performance at the National, Regional, District, and Dealer levels.
  • Develop, make recommendations, and implement region and super region budget and authorized use of funds.
  • Maintain field sales spending within assigned budget. Responsible for overseeing, managing, and tracking the sub-division and regional budgets.
  • Develop and manage direct reports; provide development, training, coaching and direction to ensure employees are meeting requirements of position, including ensuring development for future opportunities.

Authority

  • Financial authority with check approval, authorization of purchasing/accounting documents associated with Sub-Division and Field Operations.
  • Hiring and termination recommendations.
  • Budget performance monitoring
  • Keystone Program management and strategy.
  • Conduct annual employee performance evaluations.
  • Coaching, development, and mentorship of sub-division staff and direct reports.

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Master’s degree a plus
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred

Related Experience

  • Fifteen or more years of experience with at least ten years of directly related automotive experience.
  • Ten or more years of supervisory experience desired.

Skills/Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge of automotive dealership operations including sales, finance, service and parts. 
  • Ability to understand/deliver complex projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

$215,000.00 - $265,000.00 Annual
