Purpose

The Genesis Senior Manager, Incentives and Competitive Analysis, is responsible for the development of all monthly Lease and Finance incentive programs/offers/strategies for Genesis vehicles available for purchase in the U.S. This may also include mid-month adjustments to the programs/offers as necessary. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all national and regional GMA (Genesis Motor America) incentive programs and their timely distribution to authorized Genesis retailers, the Genesis.com special offers website, and our internal customers. This position will also have full management responsibility for the GMA national incentives budget and will support Keystone budget management through the retailer performance bonus (RPB) program. In addition, this Senior Manager position will base strategic decisions in part on the competitive data and analysis compiled on a regular basis with the support of the Genesis team. This individual must also develop and present incentive and competitive analysis in HMA corporate governance meetings to support Genesis’ incentive strategy. We would expect this individual to take a creative approach and support the brand’s unique vision and mission in the development of the monthly incentive programs.

Major Responsibilities

  • Manage GMA national incentives budget and incentive spend per new vehicle sold (PNVS)
  • Perform detailed analysis to determine costing and benefit of proposed programs
  • Analyze competitive actions and develop countermeasures to ensure all products are competitive in their facing segments. Build a database of competitive actions.
  • Develop monthly sales incentive/sales support programs for all GMA dealers nationwide
  • Leadership, management, and personnel development of all assigned team members
  • Direct development and launch of retailer and field incentive communications
  • Develop midterm (MTP) and long term (LRSP) incentives plans for current and future models
  • Create executive reports for and present incentive budget status, new proposals, and competitive analysis in corporate governance meetings
  • Manage development of sales portion of monthly performance review by model (PRM) presentation

Major Responsibilities (continued)

  • Participate in new product launches as incentives subject matter expert and develop competitive launch offers
  • Develop Tier 1 advertising offers and manage Genesis.com special offers website
  • Ensure timely communication of new incentive programs to retailers
  • Support development of monthly Keystone retailer performance bonus (RPB) objectives and manage budget
  • Manage Genesis company car pricing and approvals
  • Develop Certified Pre-Owned incentive programs
  • Manage Genesis component of Hyundai Circle employee purchase program
  • Develop regional sales support programs as necessary
  • Develop sales retention programs/incentives
  • Work closely with Genesis Finance (GF) counterparts to maximize efficiency of programs
  • Ad hoc reporting for Genesis HQ and HMNA leadership

Authority

  • Managerial/development responsibility for all Incentives team members
  • Budget management authority
  • Must completely understand the luxury vehicle experience and create targeted programs to support the achievement of sales goals commensurate with the premise of the Genesis brand
  • Authority will be given to make business decisions (short and long-term implications) and implement strategic business plans, and the means to communicate these plans to field and dealer partners
  • Must possess proven leadership skills with the ability to influence key decision makers at Hyundai Motor America and Genesis Motor America to help improve sales, efficiency, and brand value

Education

~ Must be a high school graduate
~ Bachelor’s degree preferred
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

  • Ten plus years of automotive OEM or auto finance company experience (preferably Sales Operations and/or region experience) required
  • Three plus years of dealer contact experience preferred
  • Regional background and assignments preferred
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience desired

Skills/Knowledge

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, including a strong understanding of lease and finance contract structures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have highly effective verbal and written skills and the ability to make executive, dealer and regional presentations.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook

$107,800.00 - $154,000.00 Annual
