Senior Group Manager, Genesis Strategic Operations

Location

Purpose

• The Senior Group Manager, Genesis Strategic Operations is responsible for leading Genesis corporate planning and strategic efforts. This includes working closely with PLM, Sales, Marketing, Aftersales, Customer Experience, and Product Planning to ensure the strategy is implemented. This position also supports Genesis executive leadership by managing strategic initiatives related to Genesis.

Major Responsibilities

• Align with Genesis executive leadership on strategic initiatives across the entire division.
• Lead Cross-Functional efforts to plan and execute impactful new vehicle, product, and service introductions.
• Partner with Sales/Field Operations teams to develop innovative techniques to enhance management of key regional sales strategies.
• Collaborate with Genesis team in Korea to ensure good communication and collaboration on key initiatives.
• Coordinate the development of EV strategy & EV relavant business, and new techology business (Mobility, In Car Payment, etc).
• Manage intiatives that support GMA charging efforts in partnership with Product Planning.
• Work closely with Research and Markeitng to develop consumer research initiatives that support launch strategy development and overall GMA objectives.
• Aid in the development of the division Mid-Term Plan with Product Planning & Pricing.
• Work closely with Genesis Sales team to ensure ordering and incentive strategies align with overall brand objectives.
• Effectively hire, train, motivate, develop, and retain staff.  Utilize the diverse talents of direct reports by efficiently managing time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company.

Major Responsibilities (continued)

• Support all strategy/planning in Genesis such as dealer development strategy and brand positioning.
• Support GMA executives by leading projects related to overall strategic efforts to establish and advance the Genesis brand.

Authority

• Manage direct report(s); conduct regular performance evaluations of direct reports, where applicable; develop employee business focus and plans for direct reports for the year ahead.
• Approve all time off, training, expense reporting, and miscellaneous spending for direct report(s).
• Execution of EV programs & initiatives to further GMA’s corporate goals.

Education

Related Experience

• At least ten years of automotive experience, ideally in Product Planning, Marketing, Market Research, or Corporate Strategy.
• Strong understanding of the automotive industry, particularly luxury brands and electric vehicles.
• Five years of leadership experience required.

Skills/Knowledge

• Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Expertise in analysis of syndicated automotive customer data using mTab.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong orgranizational and team leadership skills.
• Effective communciation and presentation.
• Extremely strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, organize, and present data effectively to executive management.
• A passion for products and following / understanding competitor strategies.
