Purpose

~ The Manager, Genesis Sales Performance & Competitiveness will provide critical analysis and support to the Incentives department. This position will support the Genesis Incentives department with real time competitive analysis for strategic incentives and tactical program planning to achieve business plan sales objectives within the annual budget. This position is also responsible for providing analytical input for the development of business plans and priorities for Genesis incentives department. In addition, this position will prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for executive review.

Major Responsibilities

Competitive Analysis

Prepare monthly Competitive Incentive Analysis/Lease price point comparison by model

Provide market commentary based on competitive analysis performed to recommend incentive tactics

Market Support Program (MSP)/Retailer Contests

Responsible for development of MSP Tactical Programs

Prepare Executive Presentation to review and seek approval from management

Prepare MSP Program Launch Communications

Manage MSP Budget and provide monthly forecast/accrual information to GMA Finance

Monthly Incentives Support Tasks

Monthly Reconciliation of incentive spending and annual budget

Management of retailer incentives inquiries and adjustment requests

Authority

~ Provide management with accurate information and recommendations to facilitate decision making.

~ Authority to approve incentives adjustment requests

~ Backup and support Senior Manager, Competitive Analysis & Incentives, as required.

Education

~ Bachelor’s degree required.
~ Master’s degree a plus

Related Experience

~Minimum five years of analysis experience, preferably in an automotive or related field

~ Automotive OEM experience strongly preferred

~Strong analytics & process background

~SAP, Excel, Access & data modeling experience.

~Forecasting & regression analysis experience preferred.

Skills/Knowledge

~ Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

~ Excellent written and oral communication skills. Must have highly effective verbal and written skills and be able to make a business case for proposed improvements

~ Excellent organizational skills.

~ Excellent time management skills.

~ Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
