Location
Purpose
- The Manager, Genesis Merchandising position will oversee Genesis Motor America’s (GMA) retail and online merchandise and apparel program. This position is both operational and strategic in nature as this position will need to regularly execute analytical and investigative skills while also facilitating and influencing broader, strategic discussions. This position will work closely with key stakeholders within GMA to support CX, Training, Aftersales and Parts initiatives while working cross-functionally with other GMA/HMA teams, suppliers, and partners.
Major Responsibilities
- Oversee the development and execution of the Genesis Merchandise and Apparel collection, including online sales operations and retail boutiques.
- Develop D2C and B2B2C models and define program objectives, including annual total sales, expected annual revenue, retail objectives, and more.
- Collaborate with agency partner(s) to develop Tier I site on Genesis.com, Tier IV display and merchandising best practices, and Tier III site and personalization opportunities.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Owner Marketing teams for consumer outreach campaigns, advertisements, and brand activation instances.
- Research, propose, and launch new merchandise and apparel brands and items aligned to Genesis’s brand identity.
- Oversee all branding, logo, and item approvals internally and with Genesis Global HQ.
- Develop and deploy reporting and communications to key stakeholders.
- Responsible for finances, accruals, expenditures for merchandising program and any support programs.
- Provide recommendations to senior leadership to align with the future success and direction of the organization.

Education
Related Experience
- At least seven years of automotive experience in operations and field roles preferred.
- Luxury dealership experience (OEM or retail), a plus.
- Prior supervisory experience of preferred.
- Experience with customer service initiatives.
- Project management expereince preferred.
Skills/Knowledge
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Superb written and oral communication skills.
- Must have highly effective verbal and written skills and the ability to make dealer and regional presentations.
- Be able to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, set goals, and develop systems for achieving those goals.
- High level of strategic thinking capability and business acumen.
- Strong computer skills – Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- System background and support experience preferred.
